Between the end of March and April 2009, Pinsent Masons
interviewed 200 business leaders in privately owned; listed and
internationally-owned businesses to get their views on the impact
the current recession is having on them, and how they are adapting
to the current climate. As a benchmark for national issues,
businesses in the survey were drawn from companies headquartered in
London, giving the opportunity to examine issues of particular
importance to the Capital such as the Olympics and impact of
transport infrastructure projects such as Crossrail.
Main
findings include:
- Strategies adopted by businesses to survive and thrive through
recession;
- Business views on the effectiveness of policy
interventions;
- Positive impact of infrastructure projects including the
Olympics, on London
