Practice Areas
Our activities are divided into five Practice Groups, each of which contains a number of specialist teams. In order for you to gain a fully rounded perspective, you will be expected to complete four seats of six months apiece in different teams.
During each placement, you can expect to function as a full member of the team, getting to know the clients, their business and their market first-hand. After two years, you will be able to think about which direction you want your career to take from a real position of strength.
Corporate & Tax
Our corporate group advises clients in all areas of corporate law. We carry out a mix of advisory and transactional work both domestically and internationally. Working alongside them we have one of the UK’s largest teams of tax lawyers.
Financial Institutions & Human Capital
Employing around 250 lawyers this highly diversified practice area is itself divided into four subsidiaries, offering complementary services to a wide-range of clients.
Projects & Construction
This team provides services throughout the lifecycle of major projects, particularly in energy and infrastructure and Public Private Partnership deals, many of which have an international dimension.
Property
One of the UK’s largest teams of property specialists, our property group provides advice to developers, investors, retailers, distributors and government on issues relating to development, investment and regeneration and portfolio management.
Strategic Business Services
Comprising a number of specialist teams this group focus on projects and large commercial procurement and outsourcing contracts. It also includes a dedicated team of litigation & arbitration experts.
