Pinsent Masons advises SIG plc on the disposal of its SIG interiors manufacturing business

International law firm Pinsent Masons has advised SIG plc, a leading European specialist supplier of insulation, interiors, exteriors and specialist construction products, on the £14 million sale of its Interiors Manufacturing business to Laidlaw Interiors Group, backed by Rutland Partners, a UK mid-market private equity firm.

SIG Interiors Manufacturing designs, manufactures and supplies performance doorsets, partitions, washrooms and glazing products in the UK, principally to non-residential markets.  The business trades under the brands of Leaderflush + Shapland, Komfort Workspace, Cubicle Systems and SIG Glazing Services.

The Pinsent Masons team advising on the sale was led by corporate partner Philip Goldsborough together with senior associate Shiv Sibal and associate Michael Walby, supported by Liz Eccles, Joe McMorrow, Chris Strowbridge, Joanna Wachowiak, Amy Wright and Tom Woodhead.

Philip Goldsborough commented:  "We are delighted to have advised SIG on the strategic disposal of its Interiors Manufacturing business which, together with the recent divestments of its scaffolding and safety and workwear businesses, will enable SIG to focus on and develop its core operations and markets going forward.

Altium Capital provided financial advice to SIG.
