Pinsent Masons appoints Development & Regeneration Specialist, Graham Lust

14 Nov 2011 | 10:45 am | 1 min. read

International law firm Pinsent Masons has appointed leading development lawyer, Graham Lust, as a consultant in its real estate team. Graham was previously a real estate partner at Nabarro and has subsequently held a number of consultancy roles and non-executive directorships.

Recognised as one of the market’s leading development lawyers, Graham has advised on high profile transactions for a range of public and private property companies, financial institutions and public sector organisations.

His track record in the regeneration arena includes advising on projects such as Quintain’s acquisition of the Millennium Dome and their 8 million square feet (mixed use) redevelopment adjoining the National Stadium at Wembley. Graham advised the Arts Council in connection with the refinancing and refurbishment of the Royal Festival Hall and has undertaken development work for other clients such as Land Securities, Heron, Axa and Avon Inc.

Adrian Barlow, head of Pinsent Masons’ Property Group, comments: “As large-scale development projects become increasingly complex in terms of financing and delivery, clients need access to detailed strategic advice.  Graham’s expertise in financing and development, allied with commercial awareness, make him a valuable asset to our team.”

In addition to offering comprehensive development expertise, Graham is also an expert in sustainability issues and advised the London Climate Change Agency in setting up the Better Building Partnership.

Graham’s appointment represents the sixth senior lateral hire made by Pinsent Masons’ real estate team over the past year which included David Taylor's move from DLA Piper.  These appointments represent the practice’s growing focus on the London market, where it is currently engaged on some of the largest development projects including Earl’s Court and Stratford City.
