Pinsent Masons strengthens City Insurance Practice

18 Jun 2012 | 03:00 pm |

International law firm Pinsent Masons has strengthened its full service insurance practice in the City with the appointment of a new Head of Insurance, Nick Bradley. Nick's arrival from Lawrence Graham follows a successful period for Pinsent Masons’ insurance sector which grew by 20% during the last year.

Nick is a recognized leader in the insurance and reinsurance advisory market, having been ranked in the Euromoney Guide to The World's Leading Insurance and Reinsurance Lawyers for the last 10 years, as well as in the other major legal directories (he is described as “one of the best” in this year’s Legal 500).

Nick has been involved in many of the major market insurance and reinsurance disputes over the last two decades, and is known and respected for his handling of complex heavyweight disputes, often with an international and multi-jurisdictional flavour.

John Salmon, head of the financial services sector at Pinsent Masons comments: "Our continued investment in the insurance sector is reaping rewards.  While we are happy with our performance last year, we are also excited about the prospects for further growth. Nick’s arrival underlines this; the enhanced expertise that he brings ensures that we have a full service insurance team which will sit at the heart of our insurance sector proposition."

Commenting on the news, Pinsent Masons' Managing Partner David Ryan said: "We are delighted that our insurance practice is going from strength to strength. Our commercial and contentious insurance advisory service is continuing to gather pace in the City."
