E.ON and Pinsent Masons won the award as a result of their ground breaking partnership, established in 2013, that saw the two organisations develop a new way of working which fundamentally recalibrated the traditional client/ private practice relationship by offering a long term service arrangement for based on a set of fixed fee arrangements.
The judges said that the deal "demonstrated a deep understanding of the challenges the industry faces, with a departure from the billable hour coupled with new thinking with regards to technology, knowledge management and flexible resourcing."
Kirin Kalsi, Head of Legal, E.ON UK, says:
“Our partnership with Pinsent Masons has been an exciting and innovative arrangement. It has only been possible however because of the continued excellent and dedicated work of the whole E.ON team and our colleagues at Pinsent Masons. In our view this is the way legal services provision should go in all sectors and we’re very excited to be a part of that fundamental change for the better."
