Pinsent Masons continues to expand in Australia with appointment of Ewan Robertson

International law firm Pinsent Masons has bolstered its growing Australian team with the appointment of infrastructure specialist Ewan Robertson.

Joining as partner from Australian law firm Piper Alderman, Ewan is a corporate lawyer with over 20 years experience in the UK and Australia.  He has advised clients across the infrastructure and energy sectors including transactional and project work, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. Ewan led the team that advised on £3.2 billion acquisition of two gas distribution networks for Scotia Gas Networks, one of the most prominent transactions of its type in the market at the time.

Pinsent Masons launched in Melbourne and Sydney in 2015 hiring former Maddocks chief executive David Rennick with founding partners Simela Karasavidis, Greg Campbell, Michael Battye, Andy Denton plus Legal Director Adam Perl. The firm has since added renowned infrastructure disputes partner Peter Megens to its team, along with partners Anthony Arrow and Margaret Cole.

Pinsent Masons Australia has also just been recognised for its innovation in legal services, winning a place on the Janders Dean & Lexis Nexis Legal Innovation Index 2016.
