International law firm Pinsent Masons has been named as one of the fastest growing firms of the year, in Australasian Lawyer's 2016 Fast Firms report.

After opening its doors just a year ago, Pinsent Masons Australia has won a place in Australasian Lawyer's Fast Firms report. The report recognises firms at the forefront of the Australasian legal industry, based on major milestones hit during the 2015/16 financial year including headcount, revenue growth and acquisitions.

Pinsent Masons launched in Australia in 2015, with an infrastructure sector-focused practice in Melbourne and Sydney. The practice is led by Partner David Rennick and advises clients on in-bound and domestic work in Australia, as well as outbound work into Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Europe.

The firm has continued to grow the practice, most recently adding infrastructure-focused corporate specialist Ewan Robertson, and infrastructure specialists Anthony Arrow and Margaret Cole, to the team.

Head of Pinsent Masons Australia, David Rennick, said:

"Our first year in operation has been a very active one and to be recognised for our growth as well as the great work that we're doing is a real achievement. We are focused on growing the team to ensure that we continue to provide top quality service for our clients, demonstrating our commitment to becoming international market leaders in our global sectors."

Pinsent Masons Australia has also been recognised for its innovation in legal services, winning a place on the Janders Dean & Lexis Nexis Legal Innovation Index 2016 for Cerico, the firm’s cloud-based compliance solutions business, and TermFrame, the artificial intelligence application.
