Helen specialises in all aspects of UK, EU and international environmental law and policy having retrained as a lawyer after a degree incorporating environmental science and working as an advisor to the National Farmers Union. She has extensive experience across a range of sectors, in particular energy (including nuclear), waste and water, chemicals, contaminated land and climate change. She is recognised as a leading UK Environmental Lawyer by Chambers Legal Directory and Legal 500. She acts for major utilities, private and public corporations, central government departments, government agencies and local authorities.
Helen is a member of the UK Environmental Law Association, the International Nuclear Law Association and the World Nuclear Association. She was also a member of the Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM), an advisory non-departmental public body from 2012 to 2016.
