Joe is a Director and assists clients who are in dispute or under investigation with HMRC.
He has over twenty years experience advising clients and practitioners in relation to large and complex tax investigations; tax fraud prosecution cases; PAYE and Benefits reviews; Tribunal and appeal matters; and aspect enquiries conducted by the UK tax authorities. Prior to joining the private sector in 1989 he was employed as a tax inspector working in HMRC's Specialist Investigations office in Liverpool where he had particular responsibility for Northern Ireland.
Since the early 1990s, Joe has acted as a tax adviser to numerous clubs, governing bodies, other organisations and individuals in the world of professional football, this coming about following HMRC's well publicised investigations into that industry.
Recently, he has been assisting clients through the Liechtenstein Disclosure Facility, and other dedicated HMRC disclosure facilities.
