Reg Day is a Director and his key areas of expertise include helping corporate and private clients with tax investigations involving fraud and avoidance, in particular, those involving offshore arrangements. He has extensive experience of the Liechtenstein Disclosure Facility and advises clients on the implications of the tax agreement signed by the UK and Switzerland on 6 October 2011.
Reg has worked in the offshore environment for a number of years advising banks, trustees and their clients. He undertook a diverse range of projects in the Channel Islands prior to the introduction of the All Crimes Money Laundering Legislation in 1998 and has also worked with clients in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Singapore, the Caribbean, Gibraltar, Monaco and Luxembourg. In addition to his mainstream tax investigations work , Reg has advised clients on a range of technical issues including the residence and domicile of individuals, remittances, the taxation of offshore structures, the residence of offshore companies, offshore companies trading in the UK, exchange of information and the use of HMRC's information powers.
