Colin is a partner who specialises in a wide range of insurance and reinsurance issues facing UK and international clients. Colin has extensive dispute resolution experience advising insured and insurer clients alike on D&O, construction, W&I, energy, engineering and liability policies (public and professional indemnity). Working closely with Pinsent Masons’ market-leading regulatory practice, Colin also supports insurers and insureds in the management of health and safety risks. Colin's advisory practice includes acting for reinsurer clients (in the UK as well as other jurisdictions such as Bermuda and the US) on corporate transactions and on disputes arising out of a range of reinsurance structures.
Colin became a Solicitor Advocate (Civil) in 2005. He has extensive experience of acting as in-house legal counsel in the general insurance market and continues to advise Insurance Sector clients on FOS and PRA/FCA regulatory issues. Colin has been recognised by Legal 500 for his knowledge of insurance issues arising in the nuclear industry and regularly lectures on the subject as a member of Pinsent Masons' pre-eminent nuclear sector team.
