  • Advised MEXIRRC, S.A. de C.V. on the Mexico City's Metro Line 1 modernisation project, which is developed based on a PPP model in which the government agency of Mexico (STC) pays service fee to MEXIRRC for it to supply new trains, rehabilitate tracks and control system and maintain the Line 1 for a period of 17 years.

  • Advised the consortium of Acciona Agua, Tawzea and Tamasuk on the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the new wastewater treatment plants of 375,000 m3/day Madinah, 90,000 m3/day Tabuk and 150,000 m3/day Buraydah Sewage Treatment Plant projects in Saudi Arabia.

  • Advised the Bank of China and a syndicate of 10 banks on the project financing of an integrated stainless steel plant located in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. This project is the largest overseas investment from Xiamen in China’s history and is one of the largest project financings in Asia in 2020, earning it "Project Finance Deal of the Year" at the Asian Legal Business China Law Awards 2021, "Deal of the Year" award at China Business Law Awards 2021 and In-House Community Awards 2021. It was also shortlisted in the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards Asia Pacific 2021 - Practice of law - liquidity & finance.

  • Advising lenders to the winning Marubeni-Al Jomaih consortium on the 300 MW solar power plant being procured in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia solar IPP which is part of the Round 2 REPDO program in Saudi Arabia. The project is one in a series of strategic solar power projects being procured on a public–private partnership basis and was awarded the 'Deal of the Year for Project Finance' award at the International Financial Law Review (IFLR) Middle East Awards 2019.

  • Advised a Chinese energy contractor on its participation as contractor, equity investor and financier in a LNG-to-power project in Cilukan, Bali. This included advising on the EPC Contract, performance bonding arrangements, contractor financing and shareholder agreements.

  • Advised the sponsors on the Taif independent wastewater treatment plant project in Saudi Arabia, with assistance from our associated Saudi Arabia law firm AlSabhan & AlAjaji. The project, which was funded via Islamic financing facilities, is third wastewater project to be procured under a public private partnership by the Saudi Water Partnerships Company (SWPC) and is part of $2 billion program of water and wastewater projects in Saudi launched in 2018.

  • Advising a bidding consortium bidding for the Taweelah Reverse Osmosis desalination plant in Abu Dhabi, the largest privately financed desalination project in the world.

  • Advising Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (a Sino-Pakistan joint venture) on the initial financing and subsequently the expansion financing of the Thar Block II Coal Mine in Pakistan
