Ian is a Partner who advises in relation to all aspects of real estate law with an emphasis on development work and large scale regeneration projects for both public and private clients. Ian also advises on environmental and planning law and is a member of the Environmental and Planning Law Association for Northern Ireland.
Ian has been named as a 'leader in the field' in the top tier for real estate in Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession for consecutive years, which describes him as a 'pragmatic lawyer who is great at keeping on top of loose ends and getting a deal across the finishing line'. Ian also is a specialist adviser to high net worth individuals and again is cited by Chambers as a top tier leader in his field in this area of trusts, wealth structuring and charities.
Ian is a Committee Member of the Law Society of Northern Ireland, a member of the Council of Legal Education and a member of the Law Commission Land Land Reform Working Group.
