Ian is a partner with over 25 years' experience acting in connection with syndicated (and bilateral) secured and unsecured facilities as well as loan portfolio transfers and participations. He also has experience in dealing with financial restructuring and workouts.
Ian is listed in Legal Experts 2011 as a leading expert in bank lending and in social housing finance. He leads the social housing finance team at Pinsent Masons and has substantial experience acting on a full range of matters in the social housing sector (primarily for funders), including large scale voluntary transfers, group structures, estate transfers, mixed-use housing development projects, care homes and key worker facilities, default situations as well as portfolio due diligence and transfers and originator trust structures.
In addition to his social housing and general banking practice, Ian is a recognised expert in consumer credit.
