Jim is a Partner and Solicitor Advocate (Civil in Scotland and Higher Courts Civil in England and Wales) with extensive experience as an advocate before courts and in other types of dispute resolution. He advises clients about a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters across the UK. He is an accredited mediator and has a particular interest in alternative dispute resolution.
Jim carries out a substantial amount of contentious IP and commercial work. Corporate disputes and regulatory matters have also become particular points of focus. In addition to contentious matters, Jim is increasingly involved in working with clients on risk avoidance and minimisation, for example by internal policies, training and audits.
