Jonathan is head of Corporate in mainland China and specialises in a wide range of private equity and M&A transactions.
He acts for a range of clients including multinational companies, public and private companies, institutions and management teams. Recent transactions that Jonathan has led include advising a UK quoted company on the acquisition of a Chinese Group : advising an engineering company on the acquisition of a Chinese Group; advising a PE Institution on an investment in a China Fund,; advising the MBO Team on the purchase of Dreams plc backed by Exponent Private Equity ; advising London and Oxford Capital Management on the acquisition of a portfolio of companies from 3i; advising Zehnder Group on the purchase of the Greenwood ventilation business; advising Gold Group International Limited on its Group reorganisation; advising the MBI Team on the acquisition of Focus DIY backed by Cerberus; and advising Dawson Holdings plc on a number of acquisitions of wholesale newspaper and magazine distributors.
