For over a decade, Dr. Li has worked with clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, in managing IP assets as an integral part of their comprehensive competition strategy. He is experienced in formulating overall intellectual property strategy, resolving difficult freedom-to-operate obstacles, negotiating licensing agreements, and effectively utilizing existing intellectual property portfolio to strengthen clients' competitive positions. He is highly experienced in worldwide patent prosecution in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and chemical arts, and in patent litigations in both China and the U.S., and Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission. Dr. Li is especially familiar with legal and commercial issues concerning technology transfer of academic or non-profit research organizations.
