Martin has over 37 years' experience advising contractors, owners and consultants on major infrastructure projects, both nationally and internationally. In recent years he has advised upon some of the leading infrastructure projects in the Middle East, India and the Far East, including airports, Mass Transit systems, Motorways, sports stadia, high rise buildings and ports. Martin lectures widely on procurement strategies for international infrastructure projects and upon dispute resolution processes.
Martin is the immediate past Chairman of the UK Government's Advisory Group on Global Sports Projects and in that capacity has led trade missions to countries hosting major international sports events. He is a Director of the UK India Business Council. Martin has particular responsibility under joint UK/Indian government initiatives for the promotion of cooperation in Indian Infrastructure Development and for the liberalisation of legal services.
He was awarded a CBE in the 2010 New Year's Honours list for services to international trade and the legal profession.
