Michael Lewis is a partner and provides specialist advice to banks, insurers, stock brokers, investment managers and hedge and other funds. Michael advises on new business and product launches, the application of UK and EU financial services legislation and FSA rules and the regulatory aspects of acquisitions and disposals in the financial sector.
In 2000 and 2001 Michael was seconded to HM Treasury as a policy adviser to Ministers on the Regulated Activities Order and other statutory instruments under the Financial Services and Markets Act. He has also been involved in a number of sector committees commenting on draft pan-European Directives in the financial services area.
