About Peter

Peter is a construction and engineering law specialist.  He has extensive experience advising, supporting and representing clients on contractual arrangements, issues arising on live projects and in the resolution of disputes.  His clients have included main contractors, subcontractors, construction managers and governments working on a variety of infrastructure and building projects including road, rail, dock, nuclear, major commercial and residential projects.

Peter is familiar with all forms of dispute resolution including mediation, litigation, arbitration and adjudication.  He practiced in the UK before relocating to Hong Kong where he undertook numerous adjudications under the UK's Security of Payment legislation and frequently advised on payment terms subject to the same legislation.  Peter has particular expertise in relation to the NEC forms of contract having acted on a number of disputes and adjudications (both for Government and contractors) on UK NEC projects.  Peter also regularly advised contractors tendering for or working on NEC projects as to legal risks and subcontracting arrangements.  He has also advised on one of Hong Kong's NEC projects and regularly provides training on NEC.
