Simon specialises in the regulatory and commercial energy sector advising energy companies, regulators, Governments and commercial companies.
He advises on regulatory compliance and market development, energy projects (nuclear, CCGT, wind and solar) and Community Energy Solutions, including ESCO/MUSCOs and energy performance contracting.
Simon has considerable domestic and international experience, having lived and worked as a solicitor in Stuttgart, Germany and Moscow and is fluent in German. He is a member of the CHPA's EMR Working Group, the FORATOM Legal Task Force, the ENEF ERDA (European Reactor Design Approval) Sub Group, the International Nuclear Lawyers Association, and the Energy Institute. He regularly writes articles covering regulatory and commercial issues in the energy sector.
