Caroline is a senior associate and advises across the UK in relation to all aspects of European and public law. She has particular expertise in European State aid, public procurement, utilities procurement, Freedom of Information, Vires and statutory powers. Caroline advises clients ranging across a variety of sectors, including local authorities, educational establishments, energy utilities and charitable foundations.
In addition, Caroline has significant experience in advising on the public and European law aspects of large energy and infrastructure projects, such as onshore and offshore wind farms, waste treatment facilities, electricity networks, carbon capture and storage and public transport.
Caroline is key member of the firm's UK-wide Charities Group. She advises on a variety of charity law issues in Scotland and England and Wales. She has advised on fundraising and grant giving contracts, applications for charitable status, winding-up and reorganisations of charitable assets, corporate governance issues and trustees duties.
