Clara is a senior associate specializing in contentious tax work, advising both corporates (including large FTSE 100 companies) and high net worth individuals on resolving disputes with HMRC in relation to VAT, aggregates levy, customs duty and direct tax. She has extensive experience of conducting large pieces of litigation before the First-tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal, Administrative Court, Court of Appeal, Court of Justice of the European Union ("ECJ") and Supreme Court. Clara has had particular experience of litigating both indirect and direct tax disputes where tax avoidance is alleged by HMRC.
