Matthew is a senior associate specialising in construction and engineering law, with a particular emphasis on contentious matters, risk management and international arbitration. Matthew has extensive experience of acting for employers, consultants, contractors and subcontractors in a range of construction related matters and has advised on a variety of projects, including airports, ports, offshore wind, power generation, roads, hospitals and commercial premises.
Matthew has led teams acting in international arbitration, High Court litigation, adjudication and ADR and has considerable experience in large, complex, multi-party disputes. He regularly provides advice to clients during the life cycle of projects and provides project counsel on contractual matters, as well as commercial and strategic advice during project delivery and in respect of ongoing and long term projects.
Matthew also has experience dealing with insurance policy coverage issues in relation to construction PI, PL and CAR insurance.
