Alastair is Head of the Pensions team at Pinsent Masons. Independently recognised as a leader in the field, he provides clients with all aspects of pensions advice, including transactional, documentation and litigation.
He has particular expertise in advising major plcs on strategic pensions issues, and handling scheme reconstructions, mergers and wind-ups. He also has extensive expertise in pensions aspects of employment contracts, particularly with regard to senior executive remuneration, service agreements and disputes.
Alastair is a past chairman of the Association of Pension Lawyers. He regularly writes and speaks on pensions matters and is the author of ‘Tolley's Pensions Cases’, the definitive work on the subject.
