Richard is the Head of the Construction Advisory & Disputes Group.
He has substantial experience of big ticket international arbitration and litigation work and of advising owners and constructors of major infrastructure projects on risk management and dispute avoidance/resolution during project construction. Recent experience also includes a number of substantial mediations as well as DRA work.
A former Head of our Hong Kong office, Richard has advised on some of the largest rail, road, airport and port projects in Asia and the Middle east including tollways in the Philippines, three significant railway projects (Hong Kong), a significant mixed development, an elevated highway project and in relation to one of Asia's largest container terminals.
Previous experience encompasses a wide portfolio of disputes in the energy sector with particular emphasis on power generation including turbine supply and performance issues. Historic experience also includes the Channel Tunnel.
