Pinsent Masons wins Belt and Road Deal of the Year and Overseas Deal of the Year awards at the China Business Law Awards

Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has won Belt and Road Deal of the Year and Overseas Deal of the Year awards for the firms work on the Red Sea Tourism Mega Project in Saudi Arabia and Mexico City's Subway Line Construction Project respectively.

CBLJ’s China Business Law Awards recognises deals based on overall significance, complexity and innovative nature of the deals and cases, while also taking into account the deal size and broader interests.

Mark Hu, Partner of Beijing office of Pinsent Masons said, “We are grateful to be recognised again by CBLJ for our work on China outbound projects. We have been advising globally on 'Belt and Road' projects since the initiative started, this award is an excellent demonstration of our experience and commitment to supporting Chinese contractors.”

This is the fifth consecutive year that the firm has won the Belt and Road Deal of the Year award. In previous years the firm has won the award for its work on the Thar Block II coal mine in Pakistan, the Colombo Port City Project in Sri Lanka, the Hwange thermal power station in Zimbabwe, the Mozura wind farm in Montenegro and most recently the railway and port PPP in Nigeria and MINOS solar power project in Greece.
