Charlotte is a Barrister with full rights of audience specialising in financial services disputes. She is uniquely placed to see matters from start to finish and acts for a wide range of FS clients including insurers, banks, and pension funds.
Charlotte has excellent knowledge of financial services regulation having previously worked in the Bank of England’s Legal Directorate for just under half a decade. Her experience includes, but is not limited to, both the contentious and non-contentious elements of financial services regulation such as enforcement and investigations, contentious change in controls, satellite litigation arising from regulatory action, transition away from LIBOR, the Bank’s proposed Shari’ah Compliant Facility and global codes of conduct e.g. the FX Global Code.
Charlotte trained at a leading set of chambers specialising in commercial, common law and criminal regulatory law where she appeared in Court 4-5 times per week. Her current practice encompasses high value complex commercial litigation with a financial services nexus.
Charlotte is a member of and advocacy tutor at Lincoln’s Inn. She is an elected member of the Bar Council of England and Wales and sits on the COMBAR E and D Committee.
