The Business Development Team
The business development team works with our practice and core sector groups to develop, plan and support the business strategies, which drive the growth of the business and our client relationships. The team operates on an account management basis, focusing expertise to provide a wealth of core products, tools and resources as well as providing a bespoke service on a consistent basis to our teams around the globe. The team has professionals with expertise in bids and sales, events, direct and indirect marketing, PR and communications and research. The team also manages our award winning Customer Relationship Management tool.
The Client Service Team
The client service team is central to the firm's commitment to the better management of the client relationship. Team members work alongside the client partners to ensure the firm's clients receive a tailored legal service to their own particular requirements and priorities. As independent senior lawyers they conduct regular reviews of our service delivery agreements against agreed performance indicators and, by working with the clients directly, they can channel the feedback back into the business: continuing the development of best practices and developing deeper client relationships and service.
The Facilities Team
The facilities team supports the firm's offices by providing procurement, premises and facilities management services to ensure cost-effective, client-focused services to the firm, its people and clients. The team manages the provision of deeds, old papers and archiving, post room, print room, departmental moves, hospitality and catering, reception and meeting rooms, health and safety (including business continuity), stationery, switchboard and travel.
The Finance Team
The finance team helps to maintain and improve the financial performance of the firm, providing information, reports and support with business decisions in a timely manner. Its principal activities include: costing, negotiating and billing, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis and reporting, managing cash both for the firm and the client (where applicable), managing credit risk and supporting collections as well as paying suppliers, salaries and expenses.
The Human Resources and Learning Team
The HR & Learning team provides our firm with a talented, satisfied and flexible workforce. Our people programmes are designed to provide the opportunity for our staff to make the most of their potential and working practices, including competitive remuneration packages. There are three distinctive groups of professionals within the team: Human Resources, Learning & Development, and Recruitment.
The Information Services Team
Our internally based informational services team provides a wide range of legal and business information services to the firm. We have an extensive range of resources across the firm, including practice and chosen market specific resources. In addition our experienced research staff provide the teams with bulletins and research updates, training on research tools and resources and copyright clearance and collection management.
The Information Technology Team
We are proud of our commitment to ensuring our people have the support of comprehensive IT systems across the firm and third parties where appropriate. The IT team has a broad range of capabilities and is responsible for the support and development of key business applications including Microsoft Office, iManage, CMS.NET, Web Technologies, Intranet and Extranets. The infrastructure team is responsible for Network and Server Management, Systems services, data and voice system management and aims to provide a reliable and consistent data and communications infrastructure for existing and future business applications. The IT team has a clear project management procedure to technology that can meet the demands of the business. This is supported by a dedicated IT training team to ensure our people have the appropriate technical level of training they need to take full advantage of all systems.
The Legal PA Team
The role of the Legal PA is intended to embrace a team working approach, collaborating with lawyers to fulfil the changing needs of the business. With particular focus on client service, business development, finance and project management the Legal PA is seen as a vital part of the team and as a great contributor who can proactively seek development opportunities.
Like our lawyers, our Legal PA's client knowledge, flexibility and integrity, together with the strong client relationships that they have formed are essential to their role. To assist our Legal PAs we ensure they receive the technical and developmental training they need as well as regular performance and development reviews, feedback, support and responsibility.
The Legal PA team is supported by a sub-team of specialists in document production and management.
The Compliance & Legal Services Team
The team provides global, cohesive and practical policies and procedures in response to the firm's risk profile, business goals, objectives and strategies; thus improving the service we deliver to our clients. Its support in risk management provides steps that can be taken to minimise or transfer the risks which arise from the things our business does or doesn't do; which may in turn cause loss to the business - this loss could be in efficiency, opportunity, competitive advantage, the working environment, reputation as well as financial loss. The team is committed to continuing to build upon our professional excellence and best practices.
