Advised the ownership body of the Philippines energy on its high profile privatisation programme
We advised the administrative and ownership body of the Republic of the Philippines' energy infrastructure privatisation programme on vitally important, high profile stages of its mission to transform the nation's power industry into a market driven sector. We guided the unique entity through the privatisation by way of IPP administrators of the Napocor (National Power Corporation) contracted capacities of the Sual (2x500MW) and Pagbilao (2x350MW) coal fired power Plants as well as other subsequent assets with total value exceeding US$3billion. Our lawyers were also entrusted to help the client manage the close to US$4billion privatisation by way of concession of the entire national transmission network of the Philippines to a consortium including the State Grid of China.
