Financial Services: Cross-border advice, across the board

We provided strategic advice to an investment bank in relation to the employment law and HR aspects of a cross-border regulatory investigation by global regulators including the FCA.

This involved working alongside our dedicated team of Financial Regulatory lawyers to ensure that HR's response remained strategically aligned with higher risk issues.

Our daily interaction with the Financial Regulation team means that we were able to provide seamless advice to our client.

We advised the investment bank in relation to legal and operational challenges associated with prolonged suspension of senior employees. In addition, Remuneration Code issues in relation to deferred variable compensation payable to employees under investigation had to be considered.

The team also assisted the client with associated employment litigation in the Employment Tribunal and worked alongside the client’s Conduct Risk and Public Relations teams.
