International law firm Pinsent Masons has further bolstered its growing Australian team with the appointment of infrastructure specialists Anthony Arrow and Margaret Cole.

Anthony joins as partner from Australian law firm Allens. He has experience advising on major renewable energy, road and rail projects acting for sponsors, contractors and operations and maintenance providers. During his 17 year career he has advised a number of high profile companies including Mitsui, First Solar and Hess Corporation. Prior to joining Allens he was the general counsel at Australian engineering company John Holland Group.

Arrow will be joined by Margaret Cole, who previously led the Middle East business of White & Case. With over thirty years’ experience, Margaret has practised around the world in cities including Bangkok, Singapore and Hong Kong. She also spent five years in house as General Counsel for the Australian investment company Babcock & Brown, served as an associate for Sir Nigel Bowen, former Chief Judge of the Federal Court of Australia, and worked as principal counsel at the International Finance Corporation.

Margaret advises major lenders and investors on complex international finance matters including project finance, securitizations and private placements. She recently acted on the groundbreaking US$1.2 billion financing of Indorama's nitrogenous fertilizer complex in Rivers State, Nigeria, one of the largest projects of its type ever undertaken.

Pinsent Masons launched in Melbourne and Sydney in 2015 hiring former Maddocks chief executive David Rennick with founding partners Simela Karasavidis, Greg Campbell, Michael Battye, Andy Denton plus Legal Director Adam Perl. It has since grown to 7 partners and 17 lawyers and added renowned infrastructure disputes partner Peter Megens to its team.

Head of Pinsent Masons Australia, David Rennick, said: "The addition of Anthony and Margaret to the team is an important step in the continued development of our Australian business. With such significant experience across energy and infrastructure we have great confidence that they will be an excellent addition to the team. Our strategy for the development of our business in Australia is through our Infrastructure sector across energy, housing, schools, universities and real estate as well as economic infrastructure and technology infrastructure. We can already say with confidence that we have one of the largest and most experienced infrastructure teams active in the Australian market."
