Head of Pensions & Long Term Savings and Head of Office - London

About Carolyn

Carolyn is a Partner in our London office and is the head of the Pensions & Long Term Savings team. She is a hugely experienced pensions lawyer who has specialised exclusively in this area for over 20 years. Her broad practice encompasses both non-contentious and contentious work, including Pensions Ombudsman claims and High Court Litigation. Her contentious work includes a number of the most prominent pensions cases in recent years. Highlights of her recent non-contentious work include advice to trustees on employer covenant issues in the context of a disposal of the principal employer's corporate group against the background of clearance applications and the implementation, for a principal employer, of the merger of two defined benefit schemes. With a high industry profile, Carolyn is a frequent conference speaker and media commentator on pensions. Over the past year she has been interviewed about pensions on Radio 4's Today Programme and has appeared on television on BBC News. Despite her management responsibilities, Carolyn remains heavily involved in client work. Chambers UK 2015 comments that Carolyn “clearly has her attention on the job and so knows all the ins and outs.”
