About Kuan

Kuan is a consultant lawyer. Formerly a finance/insolvency lawyer, she now specialises in technology law, particularly data protection and Internet/cloud. She is the primary author of chapters in Cloud Computing Law (OUP 2013) dealing with cloud technologies, security and risk, negotiated contracts, the UK G-Cloud programme and (4 chapters) data protection in the cloud. She has published numerous articles on cloud computing and data protection, and speaks regularly at industry events. Kuan is also an Editor of the Encyclopedia of Data Protection and Privacy, a Fellow of the Open Data Institute, a member of the British Computer Society’s Information Privacy Experts Panel (IPEP), a member of the Society for Computer & Law's Editorial Board, and a lifetime professional member of the Cloud Industry Forum.
