Addressing situations in which work-related stress, mental health and / or disability issues arise, this course will also provide guidance on how to encourage a return to work after absence relating to stress or other mental health issues.

By the end of the half day course you will be able to:

  • Encourage disclosure of mental health conditions and provide guidance to managers on how to discuss this with employees
  • Explain the steps that employers should take if a mental health condition impacts upon performance/behaviours/attendance
  • State the "dos and don'ts" of discussing and assessing the reasonable adjustments that can be made for mental health conditions
  • Set out a seven step plan when an employee says that they are suffering from work related stress
