Laura advises on all aspects of European and German competition law with an emphasis on mergers, cartel and abuse of dominance cases. Her clients are national and international companies from a wide array of industries such as automotive, chemicals, healthcare, financial services, and the food (retail) sector.

In the context of mergers, Laura represents her clients in merger control proceedings before the European Commission and the Federal Cartel Office and helps them to coordinate filings in front of competition authorities around the world to ensure that M&A transactions are successfully closed. In this context she also helps her clients to put safeguards into place in order to be compliant with competition laws in all phases of a transaction. Laura’s work also includes the representation of third parties intervening in merger control proceedings.

When advising in cartel cases, Laura not only assists her clients and their employees during dawn raids and provides strategic guidance with respect to the following external and internal investigations but also handles the subsequent challenges in court. With a background in international litigation, Laura offers advice to companies facing or initiating private cartel damages claims.

Laura regularly publishes about latest developments in competition law, most recently on “gun jumping” risks in M&A transactions and jurisdiction issues in cartel damages claims.
