Laura advises on all aspects of European and German competition law with an emphasis on mergers, cartel and abuse of dominance cases.
She has longstanding experience advising in the fields of complex merger control, cartel proceedings, abuse of dominance cases and antitrust compliance. Her clients comprise national and international companies from a wide array of industries such as automotive, chemicals, healthcare, financial services, and the food (retail) sector.
In respect of mergers, Laura represents her clients in merger control proceedings before the European Commission and the Federal Cartel Office and helps them to coordinate filings before international competition authorities to ensure that M&A transactions are successfully closed. She assists her clients with putting safeguards into place in order to be compliant with competition laws in all phases of a transaction. Laura also represents third parties intervening in merger control proceedings.
When advising in cartel cases, Laura not only assists her clients and their employees during dawn raids and provides strategic guidance in respect of external and internal investigations, but also handles the subsequent challenges in court. With a background in international litigation, Laura offers advice to companies facing or initiating private cartel damages claims.
Laura has been listed by Legal 500 in the Competition Law section and serves as a board member of KartellrechtsForum Frankfurt e.V. She regularly publishes about latest developments in competition law, most recently on the newly established compliance defence in German cartel proceedings.
