Matt is a key member of the Birmingham Employment team and is known for giving commercial and pragmatic advice, further enhanced by a year-long secondment to a FTSE250 company.
Matt has considerable expertise in managing complex tribunal claims, including numerous whistleblowing cases, and advising on complicated TUPE issues.
Matt jointly runs the Firm's minimum wage team and has given board level, business-critical advice to various blue chip clients. Matt also runs the Employment high court litigation team. He has particular expertise in the enforcement of restrictive covenants and has helped numerous major clients in this regard, most notably acting for a client following the departure of its (and one of the world's) leading experts in his field to work for a direct competitor.
Matt is immersed in our manufacturing sector. He has delivered numerous webinars on topics with particular resonance in the sector, including the apprenticeship levy and minimum wage.

Richard provides project management leadership on the firm's largest and most complex matters, with particular responsibility for the Risk Advisory Service practice group, to improve our ways of working and collaborate effectively with peers across the firm to maximise the value we can provide to our clients.
