Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has recruited Ruby Khnom as TMT partner in London, where she will add significant strength to two of the firm’s key sectors- technology science & industry and financial services.

Joining the Pinsent Masons TMT team, her focus will be on the transactional side of TMT advising clients on digital transformation projects and complex software and technology procurements.

With extensive experience working with technology supplier businesses, ranging from start-ups to large corporations, Ruby will expand the firm’s capabilities with clients in this strategically important area as well as helping to support financial services organisations throughout their technology transformation journeys.

Commenting on her appointment, head of TMT Simon Colvin said:

"Ruby's appointment adds significant bench strength to our team and will help us to develop further in our key strategic focus areas – FS and tech supplier advisory work. Having worked with a number of leading international technology organisations, we have several pipeline projects in which we are excited to involve Ruby.

"At the same time, our Pinsent Masons platform provides Ruby with a great opportunity to broaden the offering to clients, showcasing our global sector approach and our depth of expertise in technology, regulatory, information law, and cyber breach services.”

Head of technology, science & industry (TSI) sector Florian von Baum added:

"Across our multinational network we have a range of experts in cyber, data and technology, working together to advise our clients as they seek to maximise opportunities in these areas. We are in an exciting and transformative period as organisations strive to understand the true impact that new technologies can have and begin to unlock the value of their data. With her deep understanding of the technology landscape, Ruby will play a leading role in advising our clients on key areas impacting them both now and in the future. She is a fantastic addition to the TSI and financial services sectors.”

Ruby’s appointment follows that of Gina Bicknell as life sciences partner in the TSI sector.
