Dealing with complex under performance issues

Managers are often put off from tackling under performance because they don't have a clear vision of how the process works, they fear being accused of bullying and (in a large number of cases) have already decided there is no hope of improvement. This course encourages the "grasping the nettle" approach. This course encourages the "grasping the nettle" approach and will cover:

  • Supporting managers to intervene at an early stage and to record informal interventions
  • How to determine whether an issue is one of capability or conduct
  • Dealing with reactions such as grievances and absences during the process
  • Recognising the limits of the duty to make reasonable adjustments in terms of job roles, duties and expected standards
