Pinsent Masons boosts international arbitration practice

03 Jan 2018 | 09:30 am |

International law firm Pinsent Masons has enhanced its international arbitration (IA) expertise with the appointment of Jean-François Le Gal as partner in its Litigation, Regulatory & Tax team.

An experienced IA lawyer, Jean-François joins from Brown Rudnick, and will split his time across Pinsent Masons' London and Paris offices where he will join the firm's team of IA experts across the energy, construction and technology sectors. He will also spend some time in the Middle East.

Jean-Franҫois is qualified as a Solicitor-Advocate with full rights of audience before the Higher Courts of England & Wales (Civil Proceedings) and an Avocat au Barreau de Paris, and is listed as a Registered Legal Practitioner with full rights of advocacy at the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts (DIFC Courts). He is also registered on the panel of arbitrators of the International Chamber of Commerce, the London Court of International Arbitration, and the Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre.

Laura Cameron, partner and head of risk advisory services, comments:

"We're delighted to welcome Jean-François to the firm. His expertise in running dual common law and civil code disputes will enhance our current IA capabilities. Given the cross-border nature of IA work, Jean-François' experience in the UK, France and Middle East means he is well-positioned to facilitate greater connectivity between London, Paris and UAE across our practice, as well as strengthen our commercial litigation offering in Paris."
