Pinsent Masons appointed to £60m panel for local authorities in the North of England

International law firm Pinsent Masons has been appointed to a panel to provide legal advice to thirteen local authorities in the North of England including Newcastle City Council, Darlington Borough Council and Sunderland City Council.

The firm will deal with general legal requirements within the panel which is split into twelve categories; general legal requirements, conveyancing, housing, family, education, prosecutions, licensing, litigation, insolvency, debt recovery, highways, and employment. The panel will run for four years with a budget of £60 million.

Anne Bowden, Lead Partner, said, "Local authorities in the North of England have put a huge amount of work into refreshing their legal panel, which will seek to ensure that consistent and streamlined legal advice is provided across the thirteen authorities. We are delighted to have been appointed again and to continuing our strong track record in the North of England, including our work for South Tyneside and Sunderland Councils at the International Advanced Manufacturing Park on the A19, and the South Shields 365 town centre regeneration scheme.”

Pinsent Masons is one of 43 firms that won positions on the panel.
