Our two-year trainee program is thoughtfully designed and structured to provide you with a practical and enjoyable experience that truly mirrors the daily activities of our lawyers. You will collaborate with lawyers at various levels on real client projects, benefiting from structured work-based learning, skills training, and engaging presentations.
If you don’t meet the above minimum academic criteria but you have mitigating circumstances, there’s an opportunity for you to include this information in your application form.
You can absorb and analyse complex information, identify key details and communicate your conclusions clearly. You approach work carefully, recognise when you need guidance and are motivated to develop your knowledge and technical skills.
You consider the wider implications of your decisions for Pinsent Masons as a business. This means using resources and technology to deliver high-quality work efficiently, as well as taking ownership of your work, organising your time effectively and following through on your commitments.
You listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions and deliver for our clients and their businesses. You build trusted relationships, work collaboratively with different people and adapt your approach to help deliver practical outcomes.
You contribute to a respectful, inclusive and supportive working environment. You demonstrate resilience by maintaining perspective and adapting positively when faced with pressure, challenge or setbacks. You seek and respond constructively to feedback and learn from experience.
You are open to change and willing to explore and contribute new ideas. You show curiosity, identify opportunities for improvement, and use technology and information critically, responsibly and with appropriate care.
Salaries are benchmarked against market rates for international firms in Mainland China and reviewed each year. This ensures that, alongside the outstanding trainee programme we offer, we also deliver an attractive and competitive remuneration package.
Our recruitment process for this programme includes the following steps:
Apply through our online application system. Read the questions, think about your responses and double-check everything before submitting.
All applications are screened to a pre-defined framework and shortlisted candidates who best demonstrate that they meet our criteria will be contacted and invited to attend an interview with one of our lawyers and member of the HR team.
Whatever the outcome, we will let you know after your interview. If you meet our core capabilities and perform well throughout the interview, we will offer you a place on our trainee programme.
