  • Advised the University’s procurement of 1,900 beds of student accommodation on their Falmer campus (West Slope) in partnership with Balfour Beatty.

  • Advising the University of York its £130 million project with Equitix and Graham to design, build, operate and finance new student accommodation at Heslington East.

  • Advised the London School of Economics (LSE) on a major student accommodation redevelopment project which will provide 676 new student bedrooms together with associated commercial space and a community café in Southwark.

  • Acted for the University of Brighton on its flagship student accommodation DBFO project at Moulsecoomb, delivering c 800 new student bedrooms as well as a new gym and student union. Advised throughout the procurement through to contract signature and beyond. The project was notable for being one of the largest infrastructure projects ever undertaken by the University but also due to being one of the first projects to use the off balance sheet income strip structure

  • Advised the University of Sussex on the East Slope Student Residences DBFO Project, delivering 2,200 new student bedrooms as well as ancillary mixed-use space. The Project was bond financed, wrapped by Assured Guaranty and is the largest student accommodation project undertaken in the sector to date

  • Clyde Valley Residual Waste DBFO Project - Advised the five Clyde Valley local authorities on the procurement of a long-term residual waste partner. The project will see the partner take over existing Authority Waste Transfer Stations, build a new MRF facility before off-taking waste to a new build merchant EfW site and is expected to deal with up to 190,000 tonnes per annum

  • Advised two procuring authorities on the separate DBFO procurements of new energy from waste (c 150,000 tonnes per annum) and anaerobic digestion (c 30,000 tonnes per annum) facilities in Midlothian. These projects were among the first for multi-authority waste procurements in Scotland and will play a significant role in reducing waste to landfill in both local authority areas
