  • Our largest tech-led client collaboration to date. We acted for a UK financial institution to transition a customer portfolio with a substantial value away from LIBOR. The overall solution provided for automatic data sharing (including management information) between Pinsent Masons and the client, with custom built software enhancing the due diligence process. Both data captured during due diligence and data submitted by the client was used to generate amendment agreements and conditions precedent for over 700 lending agreements.

  • Advised RSM Restructuring Advisory LLP as joint administrators of Crusoe Hotel Limited, operators of the Crusoe Hotel in Lower Largo, Scotland. We applied to court to have a restraint order over the Hotel waived, we arranged for various inhibitions to be discharged and thereafter assisted with a sale of the Hotel.

    • United Kingdom
  • Advised Leonard Curtis as administrations of M & D Leisure Limited, M & D (Inns) Limited and Waltzers Limited, owners of M&D Scotland's Theme Park. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and in accordance with the guidance issued by the Government, the Group’s operations were closed in March 2020 and thereafter mothballed. The Group, which employed 170 staff, formally ceased trading and all staff were made redundant. We assisted with a sale of certain of the Group’s assets which was concluded shortly after the Joint Administrators’ appointment.

  • Advised Leonard Curtis as joint administrators of the Carmelite Hotel in all matters relating to the pre packaged insolvency sale of the business out of administration. Immediately following the administration appointment the Company's business and assets – including the 53 bedroom Hotel located in Aberdeen's Merchant Quarter, and the Carmelite brand, were sold as a going concern to Concordia Hospitality Limited. This sale resulted in the Hotel remaining open and all 56 employees retained, which was a great result and minimised disruption to customers.
