Advised the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government as applicant in securing planning permission for a new national Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre to be located in central London. This included advice on all elements of the planning application, including at the five-week public inquiry, which saw a detailed examination of the proposals before an Inspector who then recommended in his report that planning permission be granted.

Advising a local authority-owned development company on the major upgrade of Birmingham International railway station. The station serves Birmingham Airport and the National Exhibition Centre and will be redeveloped to accommodate the 16 million passengers a year predicted to use the station within the next 20 years.

Advised Sandwell Borough Council on the procurement and development of an aquatics centre for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, an event of national significance. This included advice on site assembly, title due diligence, complex 'Fields in Trust' land swap arrangements, funding arrangements, negotiation of all construction contracts, and the terms of the Venue Agreement to be entered into with Games Company to regulate the terms upon which the Aquatics Centre will be made available for the duration of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games; and the extent to which any risks need to be passed down to the building contractor.
