As a skilled litigator, Simone has extensive experience advising and representing contractors and principals during project delivery and operation and on contentious matters on construction, infrastructure and energy projects. Simone also has specific expertise in building regulation, safety and compliance.
In the area of building regulation, safety and compliance, Simone regularly advises on the interpretation of, and compliance with, building regulatory requirements and the Building Code of Australia. Simone’s experience in this area extends to advising on liability arising from combustible cladding, authority requirements, fire safety issues, protection work disputes and prosecutions/enforcement action.
She also regularly acts for registered building practitioners, including building surveyors, in disciplinary proceedings.
