Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has advised engineering consultancy Amey Consulting Australia on its acquisition of Australian company Premise Holdings Pty Ltd.

The acquisition sees Amey’s return to the Australian market and add a key piece to the company’s global expansion strategy in the engineering, operations and decarbonisation industries. Headquartered in Brisbane, Premise provides consultancy support across a number of sectors including the built environment, water, renewables and transport.

The Pinsent Masons team on the acquisition was led by Melbourne corporate partner Ewan Robertson, with senior associate Katie Murray and associates Kaitlin Pert and EJ Yeoh. The team included support from the property and employment and reward practice teams, including property special counsel Vanessa Scrivener and senior associate Kane Wang and employment and reward partner Aaron Goonrey, special counsel Luke Scandrett and associate Jessica Park.

Commenting on the matter, Ewan Robertson said Pinsent Masons was pleased to be advising Amey on a significant strategic acquisition.

‘This acquisition continues a run of corporate deals in which we are supporting international companies on strategic entries into the Australian market. We are able to leverage cross-practice support and our multinational network to provide the expertise needed when a global company wants to make a splash in the Australian market.’
