Pinsent Masons appoints life sciences patent expert in its London office

Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has hired European and UK life sciences partner Kristina Cornish into its London office.
Kristina Cornish is a patent attorney and a biotechnology and pharmaceutical sciences specialist with over 30 years’ experience. A prominent figure in the life sciences IP world, Kristina specialises in developing smart and progressive patent strategies. She joins from Kilburn & Strode.
Kristina’s career has seen her advise on highly challenging patent scenarios, seeking to protect commercially valuable inventions. She joins the firm’s life sciences team that acts on market shifting transactions and provides regulatory, commercial and market access advice in relation to new and emerging therapy areas.
Head of Life Sciences and Intellectual Property at Pinsent Masons, Clare Tunstall, said: “As an internationally recognised market leader, Kristina will bring invaluable experience and additional skills to our European team, enabling us to expand the support we provide to our life sciences clients for whom patents are business critical assets. Kristina’s appointment follows recent lateral partner hires in the technology, science and industry sector with Judith Krens in Amsterdam, Martin Hayward in Dubai, and Joni Henry in Sydney.
