Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has appointed Jeroen Schouten as Technology, Media, Telecoms (TMT) partner in Amsterdam.
Jeroen has over 25 years’ experience as a telecommunications and information technology lawyer across private practice, in-house and consultant roles. He has been appointed partner after being a consultant at Pinsent Masons, supporting its Amsterdam office. Jeroen works with many high-profile clients, including PVH Europe B.V. (Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger) and Lebara.
Head of Pinsent Masons’ Amsterdam office, Wouter Seinen, said: “Jeroen’s profile fits perfectly with our firm’s vision adding telecoms, distributed ledger technology, data centres and artificial intelligence expertise. Advising clients in the Netherlands, his cross border practice aligns well with our pan-European and multinational focus.”
Jeroen is the sixth partner to integrate the firm’s Technology, Science and Industry (TSI) sector this year, following the appointments of Michael Stewart, Kristina Cornish, Jaya Handa, Eleanor Ludlam and James Marshall.
Commenting on his appointment, Jeroen added: "Technology businesses are currently facing a lot of challenges in the Netherlands and at a European level, including an increasing need for cybersecurity readiness and data protection. I’m very proud to be joining the TMT team in Amsterdam, which has a stellar reputation in the market and to bring my experience to clients.”
